Bardic Circle began at FALO's annual Springfest. Each year after the evening feast and entertainment, travelers gather out beneath the branches and stars, around a bonfire, to sing songs, play music, and tell tales. In 2000, Bardic Circle also became a column in the print version of Ðaoine Sidhe where it featured not only poems and songs but articles on poetic forms. Now, Bardic Circle continues on in two volumes, "Bardic Forms" (Poetry Forms) and "Bardic Voices" (Poetry). The FALO Message Board also has a Bardic Circle section where poetry and music are discussed at leisure. While the camaraderie and magic of the live annual event cannot translate to the page, this version of the circle seeks to fan the flames of at least one aspect of that gathering — the written verse.
